Brian Hie

I’m currently a Ph.D. candidate at the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Lab at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where I develop algorithms and machine learning methods with a focus on biological application. Here are my publications and here is a curriculum vitae.

I’ve previously worked on machine learning for early-pipeline moonshots at Google X and for health-related applications at Illumina. I was an undergraduate at Stanford University where I did research in computational genomics.

My other interests include “an Hydroptique immoderate desire of humane learning and languages,” with a particular attraction to early modern lyric poetry. Some of my favorite books can be found here.
